Join us Thursday, July 3, for the annual Marquette Independence Day Boat Parade. The parade will begin forming at 9:00 PM near the “elbow” in the Lower Harbor breakwater, with the procession beginning at 9:30 PM. An encore parade is also scheduled for Friday, July 4, just prior to the laser light show.
Boats will be grouped into two categories: boats under 30 feet and 30 feet and above. Recognition will be awarded for the Most Dramatic Light Display, Most Spirited, and Most Original Fourth of July Theme.
All parade communications will be broadcast on Marine Channel 12, with bulletins every hour at 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:00 PM. For more information, contact Parade Captain Pete at (906) 250-6640.
In the event of poor weather, the parade will move to Friday, July 4.
